A qualifying diagnosis in NY must fall under one of the following medical conditions: cancer, HIV positive or AIDS, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, spinal cord nervous tissue damage, Epilepsy, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (including Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s disease), Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy, Neuropathies, Huntington’s disease, chronic pain, PTSD, and (as of June 2018) opioid use or any condition for which an opioid could be prescribed.
